The formulas
- Yearly to hourly: salary ÷ (hours per week × weeks per year). Full-time is 2,080 hours.
- Monthly to hourly: multiply the monthly figure by 12 to get the year, then divide by your yearly hours.
- Biweekly to hourly: multiply by 26; weekly to hourly: multiply by 52; then divide by yearly hours.
- Hourly to salary: hourly × hours per week × weeks per year.
Two jobs with the same yearly pay are not equal if one expects more hours. Converting everything to an hourly rate shows which really pays more for your time.

How do I calculate hourly rate from a biweekly salary?
Divide the biweekly amount by the hours in two weeks (usually 80 for full-time). $2,000 biweekly ÷ 80 = $25 per hour.
